Movie Event


The Annie P. Ainsworth Memorial Library will be showing the movie, Unbroken at the library. There will also be a short discussion after the film. This event will be held on Thursday, May 21st at 12:30 pm. The movie is rated PG-13 and is 2 hours and 18 minutes in length.

Library Director Wanted


The Board of Trustees is seeking a dynamic and articulate leader who understands the value of public libraries and fosters open communication with the Board of Trustees and the residents to perform professional and administrative duties in planning, developing, implementing, and directing public library services.  35 hours per week; some evening and Saturday hours.  Minimum qualifications: no less than 2 academic years of full-time study at an approved college or university, a minimum of 2 years experience preferred in a supervisory and/or administrative position, substantial experience in public services and dealing with the public.  Some studies in Library Science is preferred.  Attend workshops and programs to continue to improve knowledge of current technology and library functions.  Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.  The desirable candidate should be up-to-date with library and technology trends and will be able to work closely with staff and volunteers to coordinate and run children, teen and adult programming.

The next Library Board of Trustees meeting will be held on Thursday, June 4th at 6:30 pm at the library.

::Emergency Closings::



The closing of the library may be required by natural, mechanical or other emergencies;

these situations will be handled as follows:

The responsibility for closing the library rests with the Library Director or her designee.

In the event of an emergency situation, the Library Director shall consult whenever possible the President of the Board of Trustees or an officer as soon as possible as the reason for such closing.
