Library Outreach

The Library has been very busy working behind the scenes doing community outreach. We recently donated 100 care packages to the Sandy Creek/Lacona Food Pantry filled with puzzle books, coloring books, colored pencils, cookbooks, etc. for families and seniors in our community. We are now working on 30 care packages to distribute to the Oswego County Meals on Wheels Program for Sandy Creek residents. Special thanks to Peggy Manchester at the Sandy Creek/Lacona Food Pantry and Meals on Wheels for collaborating with us!

Supporting Children's Literacy

To promote and support children's literacy in our community during this challenging time, Ainsworth Memorial Library is committed to providing books to school-age children in our school district. So far, we have delivered 587 books to Sandy Creek Central School so that every student from Pre-K to 8th grade could have a book. Currently, we are working on providing homeschoolers in our school district with a book. To do this, we will be setting up a table in the Library's shed filled with children's books for various ages for homeschooling families residing within the school district to take. The date and time will be determined. Stay tuned!

We Have 24/7 WI-FI Access!

Although the Library is currently closed, we still have 24/7 Wi-Fi access around the outside of our building and in our parking lot. Our wireless name is scrpub and no password is needed!
