Looking for something to do while at home? Check out the databases listed below available on the right hand side of our website or at You can create or update your resume, take a class, to read an eBook or eMagazine,or learn a musical instrument? The possibilities are endless!

Any North Country resident can sign up for a library card online through the NCLS catalog at by clicking on My Account and then Register for Library Card. This provides one full year of access to NCLS online resources without having to go to a library in person.

For those who may be new to downloading e-books or need assistance accessing online resources, NCLS will be setting up a help desk on the library catalog web page. Please check for updates.

OverDrive: Patrons can enjoy access to over 7,000 e-book titles and almost 2,000 e-audio titles. Additionally, the OverDrive collection includes access to 25 different magazines, including Newsweek, Popular Mechanics, Food Network, and HGTV.

Universal Class: Learners have access to over 500 different self-guided courses, including subjects in general education, teacher resources, office skills, and hobbies. These high quality, online courses include lessons, exams, assignments, discussion boards and progress assessments to help students
master learning outcomes.

ArtistWorks: Learn a musical instrument online! Each instrument has a massive lesson library that covers the fundamentals, advanced techniques, and key learning strategies. Lessons are accessible anywhere, from any device.

Transparent Language: Explore a new language using any Internet-connected device. Available in 110+ languages, including ESL, learners have the flexibility they need to learn a new language anytime, anywhere.

Fold3: Features premier collections of original military records. These records include the stories,photos, and personal documents of the men and women who served in the military. Many of the records come from the U.S. National archives, The National Archives of the U.K. and other international

ReferenceUSA: Offers the most up-to-date data available in the market for small business owners and marketing professionals.

Cypress Resume: Jobseekers can build a resume with an easy-to-use template that provides concise,

Teen Reads Book Club

This is not your typical Teen Book Club where everyone reads the same book and then discusses it. Instead, it's about teens getting together every month (2nd Tuesday of every month at 4 pm) to discuss what they’ve been reading, what their favorite books are, get recommendations from each other, and a chance to chat and hang out with other teens who like to read.

Challenge your friends - old school style! On the last Tuesday of every month from 4-5 pm, teens can get together to play board and card games Bring your own games or play ones that we already have at the Library.

Look no further because Ainsworth Memorial Library has a writer's group for adults called the Write Stuff Writer's Group! We meet on the last Monday of every month at 4:30 pm. Share and learn about writing, genres, publishing, and offer some motivational support!
